Community Based Action for Drug Abuse Prevention and Support for Substance Abusers

  • CompletedStatus

The Community Based Action for Drug Abuse Prevention and Support for Substance Abusers project is funded by the European Union. The expected impact is to create a sustainable and strategic system at a local scale, contributing to a consolidated national strategy for confronting the drug problem across Lebanon. The first specific objective is to equip local organizations and community leaders with effective mechanisms for addressing drug prevention within Tripoli. The project has a capacity building component aiming at equipping local CSOs/CBOs/NGOs and SDCs with effective mechanisms for addressing drug prevention within communities. Another component is the advocacy and lobbying in order to improve coordination mechanisms among all relevant actors in effectively responding and participating in drug-related matters as part of a common short-term approach in Tripoli.
